by Paolo della Corte - Italy

Limited edition of eight archival prints on Hahnemühle Baryta paper, 60x90 cm.

This artwork from della Corte's 2050 series was photographed in a large aquarium. 2050 is the year climate scientists predict that Venice will be underwater.

Inspired by his Father who worked on films with Federico Fellini, della Corte's interest in photographing international artists began at a young age. He has documented artists Louise Bourgeois, Jim Dine, Jannis Kounellias, Roy Lichtenstein, James Rosenquist, George Segal, Luciano Fabro, Mario Merz, and Giuliano Vangi.

He now works to impart the stories of Venetians who resist high tides, overtourism, and large ships. He is also working with Molecular Biologists on Art/NaturSci projects discovering pollutants in lagoon waterways.
