This painting was developed at STARESO Marine Research Center on Corsica, where Warming was a guest of the Max Planck Institute. It was painted at the Art/NaturSci Pavilion, the gallery she curated for the 2019 Venice Biennale in the official venue, Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello.
